What to Expect

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your safari begins with a scenic drive to southwestern Uganda, heading toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of crater lakes, rolling hills, and rural landscapes.
In the evening, embark on a nocturnal game drive for a chance to spot elusive wildlife. You may also enjoy a guided nature walk in areas like Mweya Peninsula or Maramagambo Forest.
Day 2: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start the day with a morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains or Ishasha sector, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and the famous tree-climbing lions.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for its large populations of hippos, crocodiles, and bird species.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Bwindi
Begin with chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, where you’ll encounter a habituated chimp family in a dramatic forested canyon.
Later, explore Maramagambo Forest, including the famous bat caves, before transferring to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience
After a briefing, head into the forest for your gorilla trekking experience. The trek can take several hours, but the reward is an unforgettable hour spent observing a gorilla family in the wild.
In the afternoon, enjoy the Batwa cultural experience, where you’ll learn about the traditions of the indigenous forest people.
Day 5: Optional Activities & Return to Kampala
On your final day, you may choose to go birding, enjoy a guided forest walk, or explore the Buhoma area by bike.
Afterwards, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of your safari.
