Day 1: Journey from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. You’ll embark on a full-day drive դեպի southwestern Uganda, heading toward Bwindi.
Though the journey takes approximately 8 hours, it is incredibly rewarding. Along the way, you’ll pass through changing landscapes—open savannah, dense tropical forests, and finally the terraced hills of Kigezi. These rolling green hills are among the most beautiful in East Africa.
After a lunch stop en route, you’ll arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing from experienced rangers. Here, you’ll learn the rules and etiquette of gorilla trekking before being assigned a gorilla family in groups of up to eight people.
The trek itself is an adventure. Guided by trackers, you’ll hike through thick forest, navigating steep and sometimes muddy terrain. Depending on the gorillas’ location, the trek can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours.
And then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for—standing just a few meters away from a family of mountain gorillas. You’ll spend up to one hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact in their natural environment.
It’s a deeply moving experience quiet, humbling, and unforgettable.
After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kampala via Mbarara
On your final day, enjoy breakfast before beginning the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a chance to stand in both hemispheres at once.
You’ll also visit the Igongo Cultural Centre near Mbarara, where you can explore local heritage and enjoy lunch before continuing your journey.
Arrival in the evening marks the end of your safari—leaving you with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s incredible wildlife.
