This safari is designed to give you a complete Bwindi experience, blending wildlife, culture, and scenery. From the moment you leave the city, you’ll travel through changing landscapes—lush greenery, rolling hills, and rural communities - before reaching the dense rainforest.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your journey begins with a drive from Kampala or Entebbe to southwestern Uganda. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for photos and a brief experience standing between two hemispheres.
The drive continues through scenic countryside, passing farms, hills, and forests before arriving at Bwindi in the evening. After check-in, relax and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family from the 12 habituated groups within Bwindi.
The trek can take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Guided by trackers, you’ll navigate the forest until you finally encounter a gorilla family.
Spending one hour with these gentle giants is the highlight of your safari—watching them interact, feed, and care for their young in the wild.
Return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3: Batwa Trail Experience & Community Visit
This day offers a cultural perspective to your safari. After breakfast, you’ll explore the famous Batwa Trail, where you’ll meet the indigenous Batwa people—original inhabitants of the forest.
Through storytelling, music, and demonstrations, they’ll share their traditional way of life, including hunting techniques, forest survival skills, and ancient customs.
You’ll also enjoy a community visit and guided nature walk around Bwindi, offering deeper insight into local life.

Day 4: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. You’ll have a lunch stop in Mbarara and later visit Mbambire Drum Makers, known for traditional Ugandan drums and crafts.
Arrival in the evening marks the end of your safari, with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
