What to Expect
This safari is designed to give you a complete East African experience. You’ll move from open savannah landscapes filled with wildlife to dense tropical forests alive with primates.
Expect early morning game drives, guided forest treks, cultural encounters, and breathtaking scenery throughout the journey. Each destination adds a unique layer—from gorillas in Bwindi to chimpanzees in Nyungwe and golden monkeys in the Virunga ranges.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe - Transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on arrival time, you may explore the city before your safari briefing.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Mburo National Park with a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon boat cruise and an evening game drive.
Day 3: Game Walk & Transfer to Bwindi
Start the day with a guided bush walk to see wildlife up close, including zebras and antelopes. Continue to Mbarara with a visit to Igongo Cultural Centre before proceeding to Bwindi.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Rwanda
After briefing, begin your gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. Spend an unforgettable hour with a gorilla family before crossing into Rwanda near Volcanoes National Park.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
Track the rare golden monkeys in the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. Later, enjoy an optional cultural community visit.
Day 6: Lake Kivu & Transfer to Nyungwe
Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Kivu before continuing to Nyungwe National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and stunning rainforest.
