What to Expect
This safari blends adventure, wildlife, and culture into one seamless experience. You’ll track chimpanzees in lush forests, explore savannah plains filled with wildlife, and trek deep into Bwindi to encounter mountain gorillas.
Expect scenic drives, immersive nature walks, and meaningful interactions with local communities—all while staying in carefully selected lodges.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Travel west toward Fort Portal, located near the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Continue to Kibale National Park, arriving in time for an evening forest walk to spot nocturnal primates like bush babies.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Village Walk
Begin the day with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Later, visit Bigodi Village for a cultural walk, where you’ll learn about local traditions, farming practices, and community life.
Optional: Full-day chimpanzee habituation experience.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Journey through the scenic crater lakes region before arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive spotting elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes.
Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start with a morning game drive in search of lions and other wildlife. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for its dense population of hippos and birdlife.
Optional: Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector
Travel through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi. Enjoy scenic views of rural Uganda along the way.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
This is the highlight of your safari. After a briefing, trek through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. Once found, spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat—an experience that is both powerful and unforgettable.
Day 8: Return to Entebbe
Depart Bwindi and travel back toward Entebbe, passing through Lake Mburo National Park and stopping at the Uganda Equator for photos.
Day 9: Departure
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari.
