Duration 17 Days

In the heart of East Africa rises the mystical Rwenzori Mountains—Africa’s highest non-volcanic mountain range, often called the “Mountains of the Moon.” This 17-day expedition is a journey into raw wilderness, where misty valleys, giant lobelias, and glacier-capped peaks create one of the most unique trekking experiences on the continent.

Your adventure begins in the Virunga region with a climb of Mount Sabinyo, followed by an optional, life-changing encounter with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You then cross into the remote highlands of the Rwenzori for a challenging central circuit trek, with the opportunity to summit Margherita Peak (5,109m), Uganda’s highest point.

The journey concludes with a classic African safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering a perfect balance between mountain adventure and wildlife exploration.
